Do you even need patience?
Have you ever asked yourself if you really need patience – or what the alternative might be?
Stay in the present moment. Let go of expectations.
Because if you don’t expect anything, you don’t have to wait for anything. And if you’re not waiting, you don’t need patience.
Let me show you how I do that – with a simple everyday example: waiting in line at the supermarket.
In the past, I might have gotten annoyed or restless, wishing it would go faster.
Today, I see it as an opportunity.
I know I’ll be standing there for a few minutes. So I turn it into a mini meditation.
I feel my body. I feel the weight of my groceries – the bottles, cheese, fruit – growing heavier in my arms.
I pick one product and focus on it. I breathe. I simply am.
🛒 No waiting.
🧘 No frustration.
💫 Just presence.
Sometimes a second checkout opens – and I notice it way too late.
Why?
Because I’m so focused on the now, on the things I’m about to enjoy.
And that’s okay – because I’m not waiting, I’m living.
Patience? No.
Presence? Yes.
What about you – what do you do at the checkout?
Do you feel like you’re waiting? Or have you found your own way to stay present?
